Hello my darklings!
BACK AGAIN! See. I told you I could do it. Lol Like a cockroach…a zombie…a flesh eating bacteria! Muahaha.
LET’S TALK ABOUT TORTURE!
Keeping with the theme of debut de book number 1: Each newsletter leading up to the launch on August 31 will dive into a different method of historical torture. Hehehe. For today, the Pear of Anguish.
Yep. You read the right. Anguish.
The medieval Pear of Anguish was a gruesome and terrifying torture device commonly used during the Middle Ages. Also known as the choke pear, this device was shaped like a pear and made of metal or wood. It was designed to be inserted into a person's mouth, booty hole, or vaggine and then slowly expanded by turning a screw.
Yiiiikes.
As the device expanded, it inflicted excruciating pain on the victim, causing them to scream and writhe in agony. The Pear of Anguish was often used as a means of punishment or interrogation, and its use was considered to be one of the most barbaric and cruel methods of torture in history. Its mere presence in a room was enough to strike fear into the hearts of those who knew of its existence.
For obvious reasons.
In much less painful news, I got word today that T is for Torture has officially made it to at least ONE bookstore. LOL Huge shout out to Dark Delicacies in Burbank, California for being the first, that I’m aware of at least, to take the plunge and stock my sweet little slice of absurdity. lol
